Time to cuddle
That's the title we've chosen for this issue of Rebecca. Because soft wool simply feels good, especially in "hard times." Knitting and crocheting don't solve problems, but beautiful colors, creativity, cozy yarn gliding through your fingers, the joy of a finished piece – all of these are comforts for the soul. And everyone can always use that. That's why we want to entice you to your knitting and crochet needles and give you plenty of warmth for the fall and winter with beautiful ggh yarns and attractive stitch designs.
For this, we're taking you with us to Nordic Gray Zones , our first topic with cool, graphically inspired knitwear for men and women. Elegant gray tones refreshed with wool white are the color choices for super cozy oversized sweaters, two smart men's sweaters, a shawl and poncho to snuggle up in, and knitted pants that combine casual chic with comfort. In the next chapter, we'll revel in atmospheric colors - casual sweaters, a jacket, scarves, and other accessories for which we've chosen favorite colors that we find particularly soothing. But color impressions are individual, so knit our feel-good items for the fall/winter season in your favorite colors - the color charts of our favorite ggh yarns give you a fantastic selection! To round things off, we're introducing you to cool companions : scarves and accessories that will keep you warm and attractive through the winter in the trendy colors olive and purple. Included are crochet and knitted scarves, hats—also in both techniques—as well as a warm, separate turtleneck and a sweater in a bamboo pattern.
Claire, the heroine of the time-travel series Outlander , could also use hand-knitted capes, snoods, scarves, and leg warmers. This adventurous and romantic epic inspired our designers to create a small collection of warming accessories that could have come from the hit series' costume collection. However, we've knitted and crocheted them from cuddly, modern yarns that will gently caress you. Because—and this brings us back to the topic—that's what we all need right now: cuddle time.
This issue of our Elbsox collection is dedicated to men: three pairs of socks made from premium sock yarn with extra-fine Merino, in classic colors and with beautiful, easy-to-knit purl and cable patterns. The designs are named after the Hamburg museum ships Rickmer Rickmers, Cap San Diego, and Peking, which fits the Hanseatic spirit of ElbSox sock yarns.
"Get to your needles!" That's exactly what we want to entice you to do with 33 fantastic patterns, which is also the title of our columnist Martina Behm's article. Knitting empowers women, is her thesis, and she cites good reasons and many positive examples for this.
Crochet or knit your very own woolly treat for the soul with the new Rebecca, issue #84!
