Our shawl is huge, but you can determine the size individually: simply cast off when you've reached your desired size. The way the shawl is made – garter stitch with simple, regular increases – makes it the perfect beginner's project. Even knitting novices will succeed and experience their first knitting bliss! The beautiful colour gradient of the ggh virgin wool blend JOKER also contributes to this. Knitting with gradient yarn is great because you excitedly watch as the play of colours unfolds little by little. There's something to marvel at row after row.
The yarn used, JOKER by ggh, consists of 53% virgin wool and 47% polyacrylic. A soft roving yarn that knits up quickly and easily with 8–9 mm needles. The original model was made in the beautiful, vibrant magenta-blue mottled shade, but there are also delicate options like pastel mottled or subtle ones like grey-light grey or ecru-grey mottled. The easy-to-understand knitting instructions for an approx. 90cm x 240cm and thus extra-large shawl were published in Rebecca No. 84, Model 27. You will also need 8–9 mm knitting needles.
