Scarf ribbed diamonds
With the right knitting trick, you can even knit multi-colored patterns effortlessly and without tangling the yarn! Slipped stitches are a clever alternative if you want to create borders without changing colors in the row. Take this cozy scarf made from ggh TOPAS, for example. Only one color is used per row, and the color pattern is created by simply slipping stitches from the previous row. There's a clear counting chart for the slipped stitch border, and the rest of the scarf is simply knitted in garter stitch with only knit stitches.
The TOPAS yarn from ggh used is a soft chain-knit yarn that, thanks to its construction, combines extra volume with lightness and a pleasantly soft feel. It is made from 41% virgin wool, 32% polyacrylic, 18% polyamide, and 9% alpaca and offers a huge color selection of over 40 shades. You'll make quick progress with size 6 needles, as the closed thread of the chain-knit yarn is easy to pick up. This means that even textures and braids slip easily onto the needles with TOPAS. The yarn is also ideal for crochet projects.
The easy-to-follow knitting pattern for the scarf with borders in the slip stitch pattern, which measures approximately 27 cm x 190 cm, was published in Rebecca No. 93, Model 20. You will also need: 6.0 mm knitting needles.
