Fawn and magenta are the exciting color mix we suggest for this two-ply turtleneck sweater made of MERINO SOFT by ggh. The graphic checkerboard pattern is knitted by alternating knit and purl stitches – easy and very effective. The cut is super classic – a bit retro but very modern, not too baggy, but absolutely comfortable. A sweater you can slip into and feel comfortable, warm, and cozy for many occasions. This is also thanks to the yarn, which pampers you with the excellent wearing properties and comfort of pure, extra-fine merino wool. The two-ply and two-tone knitting creates a beautiful, vibrant color melange and opens up countless creative possibilities.
The MERINO SOFT wool from ggh is a cozy, soft, multi-talented yarn made from 100% pure, extra-fine merino wool. The finest merino fibers are spun and then twisted 28 times to create a cabled yarn. This gives it a super-soft feel and a pleasant touch, while simultaneously showcasing the elegance and robustness of the cabled twist. It's a wonderful wool for a classic turtleneck sweater. Thanks to the superwash finish of the pure merino yarn, it can even be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C. MERINO SOFT is guaranteed mulesing-free, meaning the lambs are not subjected to the otherwise painful procedure to prevent flyworm infestation, which is otherwise common practice.
The easy-to-follow knitting pattern for this double-threaded turtleneck sweater in sizes 36/38, 40/42, and 44/46 appears in Rebecca No. 98, Model 24, Checked Sweater. You will also need 5.0 mm and 6.0 mm circular needles in lengths of 40 cm and 80 cm, respectively.
