Poncho braiding
Set your mind, get ready – what piece of clothing could be more comfortable and uncomplicated than a poncho? This one's also pretty. This is ensured by the decorative braided pattern and the soft ggh TOPAS chain yarn, which combines extra volume with lightness and a pleasantly soft feel. You can wear the poncho like a jacket or as a sweater replacement, making it wonderfully cozy at home and snuggling up like a wool blanket. With a V-neck and slanted shoulders, it fits well and looks smart.
The TOPAS yarn from ggh is a soft chain-knit yarn that, thanks to its construction, combines extra volume with lightness and a pleasantly soft feel. It is made from 41% virgin wool, 32% polyacrylic, 18% polyamide, and 9% alpaca and offers a huge color selection of over 40 shades. Using 5-5.5 mm knitting needles in a braided pattern using only knit and purl stitches, you'll make rapid progress, as the closed thread of the chain-knit yarn is easy to pick up. This means that even textures and braids slip easily onto the needles with TOPAS. The yarn is also wonderfully suited for crochet projects.
The easy-to-follow knitting pattern for the V-neck wrap in the braided pattern in sizes 36-42 and 44-50 is published in Rebecca No. 93, Model 18. You will also need: 5.0 and 5.5 mm knitting needles.
